The Sherman tank, Higgins landing craft, and amazing memorials outside are supported by some interesting and incredible exhibits inside including a B-26 Marauder aircraft and amphibious DUKW vehicle. There are thousands of smaller inside which have amazing historical interest too, and we love the original D-Day maps, paratrooper and infantry equipment, resistance gadgets, and insightful story

The museum - which is celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2022 - stands on the site of German strongpoint Wn05, the area where American troops landed on D-Day June 6 1944.
