Split hand syndrome can be one of the early signs of ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), the progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects motor neurons in the brain and spinal cord. As motor neurons deteriorate and die, they can no longer send signals to the muscles, leading to muscle weakness, atrophy, and eventual paralysis. 🚨 Other early signs of ALS can be tongue fasciculations (muscle twitching), difficulty swallowing, or weakness in a particular limb. If you develop any of these, a
