Scientists are intrigued by the possibility of microbial life hanging on in the cooler, acidic upper atmosphere. These regions offer milder temperatures and potential sources of energy, but many questions remain. Do these clouds provide enough protection from harmful radiation? Can organisms survive and reproduce in such an acidic environment?
