It is a joy to walk between the columns of the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba. While the building as we see it today developed between 786AD to the sixteenth century, the columns were salvaged from earlier Roman and Visigothic buildings. Representing Roman, Visigothic, Islamic, and Christian influences over many centuries in one structure; the effect is unique to this building and stunning to behold.
