"The Dish: Recipe": Classic Umbrian lentil soup

After learning about special people and talking about kindness, we then chose to carry out their own act of kindness 🩷 We visited the shop, bought small bunches of flowers, and gave them to members of our community to “make them happy” 🌹💟 We were so proud and excited to hand over the flowers, and seeing the surprise and joy on people’s faces was such a powerful moment 🩷 This experience supported PSED through developing empathy and understanding emotions, strengthened Communication and Langua

One of our friends said they wanted to make potions, so we set up a tray with white water, rose petals and sparkly red sequins. We added test tubes, jugs and mini cooking utensils to support their imaginative potion play. This experience supported Communication and Language through storytelling and new vocabulary, Physical Development through pouring and scooping, Understanding the World through exploring materials and changes, and Expressive Arts and Design through creative role play. #EYFS #Le
