Demolition began this week at Griffin Middle School as we prepare to build a new cafeteria, performing arts center, gym and classroom wing. This $45 million project is part of more than $180 million being invested in Capital Projects at our Title 1 schools. D.H. Griffin crews are making great progress on the demolition of the Bellemeade Street Deck. A large middle portion of the deck was brought down on Tuesday night. Once the smaller two remaining sections and elevator shaft are removed, crews will begin the clean-up stage of the project.
