It was a great week of thermal imaging training here in beautiful Tampa, Fl! Friday, we wrapped up another train the trainer with Hillsborough County Fire Rescue, Florida, Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department, Polk County Fire Rescue, and Brevard County Fire Rescue Throughout the week, students participated in lecture sessions & live fire demonstrations, learning the fundamentals of their Teledyne FLIR K series thermal imaging cameras. 🚒 Early Morning Structure Fire – E. Idlewild Ave. 🔥 At approximately 5:20 a.m., Tampa Fire Rescue crews responded to a reported structure fire on the 1600 block of E. Idlewild Avenue. First arriving units found a fully involved single-story home with heavy smoke and flames through the roof. Due to the instability of the structure and rapidly changing fire conditions, firefighters maintained a defensive attack.
