Hades II ’s second major update today, dubbed “The Warsong Update,” is available now, and it adds a new final boss, another hot god to receive boons from, and a bunch of other changes, according to developer Supergiant Games.

Supergiant Games has released the second major update to Hades II, titled the Warsong Update. Along with a slew of balance adjustments, the biggest additions are the Olympian Ares and his Boons for Melinoë, and the new final confrontation for the game’s surface route at the summit of Mount Olympus.

Gameplay is being refreshed and expanded by the introduction of Ares, the god of war, and his associated Boons as well as several reworked Arcana effects. Furthermore, there are additional interactions at the Crossroads and a new animal familiar,

The Warsong Update is free and an automatic download. Of course, Hades II is still in early access. Given that the first game stayed there for nearly two years, you probably shouldn't hold your breath for an imminent public release.

The original god of war returns in the Hades 2 Warsong update, which also adds a new boss fight and and a mountain of smaller changes.
