WASHINGTON -- The Internal Revenue Service will begin accepting tax returns for tax year 2024 on Monday, Jan. 27, the IRS agency announced. The deadline to file taxes for tax year 2024 is April 15. The IRS expects more than 140 million Americans to file individual tax returns between Jan. 27 and April 15, according to a news release.
