Scattered rain showers are going to be around today throughout the Pittsburgh area. Aware: Through today, we are already 1 inch of rain (0.8" so far; average: 1.8" through July 13th) behind at the airport. This is the issue with scattered rain each day. Many see downpours, with most missing out. This pattern will remain in place this week.
The National Weather Service has issued flash flood watches for parts of 17 New Jersey counties on Monday to start a stormy week.
On Monday at 2:07 a.m. the National Weather Service issued a flood watch valid from noon until Tuesday midnight for Franklin, Hampshire and Hampden counties.
On Monday at 8:28 a.m. the NWS Fort Worth TX issued a flood warning in effect until 10:15 a.m. The warning is for Johnson, Bosque, Hamilton, Hill and Somervell counties.

On Monday at 12:39 a.m. a flood watch was issued by the National Weather Service valid from 2 p.m. until Tuesday 2 a.m. for Sussex, Monmouth, Salem, Gloucester, Camden and Burlington counties.
Minneapolis has installed hundreds of rain gardens, tree trenches and other green infrastructure in recent years, aiming to reduce flood risks and clean up stormwater before it reaches the city’s lakes and rivers. On the city’s south side, nearly 200 gardens were built along Grand Avenue in 2022 and more than 100 along Bryant Avenue in 2023.
Rain arrived in Dallas-Fort Worth Saturday evening, as the region is under a flood watch. Anywhere between 1 to 3 inches of rain — with some isolated spots of 4 inches or higher — is expected, according to the National Weather Service. Meanwhile, a flood watch that began Saturday afternoon is set to last until 7 p.m. Sunday.
