NEW YORK: An investigative hearing into a deadly mid-air collision of a US Army helicopter and a passenger plane that killed 67 people in Washington has revealed a discrepancy in the chopper’s altitude displays.

Flight instruments probably led the Black Hawk crew to believe the helicopter was lower than it actually was before the collision with a commercial airplane on Jan. 29.

A pilot survived a helicopter crash Wednesday night on Creek Road in Kendall, though his condition was not immediately known.
