The National Hurricane Center is tracking Tropical Storm Jerry in the Atlantic and a trough of low pressure in the southwestern Gulf, along with three tropical waves.

Forecasters warned of "steady strengthening," and Jerry is expected to become a hurricane within the next day or two.
