Shares in South Korean entertainment giant Hybe plummeted yesterday after members of the company’s preeminent K-pop girl group NewJeans announced they were splitting from the firm.

NewJeans, launched by K-pop auteur Min Hee-jin in 2022 under her sub-label ADOR, has been a massive success for Hybe.

HYBE is also asking ADOR’s CEO, Min Hee-jin, to exit. Min held an emotional press conference in Seoul and refuted allegations of usurping ADOR girl group NewJeans ‘ management.
