The subpoena is in connection to the case of The State of Texas vs Karmelo Anthony, the student accused of fatally stabbing Austin Metcalf, another student at the track meet. The

Metcalf, 17, was fatally stabbed at a district track meet on April 2 at David Kuykendall Stadium in Frisco. Anthony, then 17 and a student at Centennial High School, was charged with murder in Metcalf’s death.

Frisco ISD notified parents they will have to release certain student's information due to a subpoena over a fatal track meet stabbing in April. Parents have until July 29 to contest their child's information being released to the courts.
