Wesley LePatner, 43, was among the four people killed by a gunman who stormed the Park Avenue building where she worked on Monday.

Blackstone Inc.’s Wesley LePatner, a top executive in the firm’s $325 billion real estate business, was killed Monday when a gunman opened fire at the company’s Manhattan headquarters. She was 43.

At just 43, LePatner had risen to become global head of Core+ real estate and CEO of the $70 billion Blackstone Real Estate Investment Trust, a role she took on this past January after serving as COO. A Goldman Sachs alum who worked in the firm’s real estate investment group, she joined Blackstone in 2014.
