According to The New York Post, Tulare Lake, which first vanished back in the 19th century, has re-emerged, swallowing around 94,000 acres of farmland 130 years later after its initial disappearance.
The lake reappeared this year after California was hit by an extraordinary series of atmospheric rivers and by May water covered more than 160 square miles (414 square kilometers).
About 90,000 acres of farmland in Kings County, California, is currently serving as the lake bottom for Tulare, Dusty Ference, executive director for the King's County Farm Bureau, told ABC News.
