SANDS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLUC) - Marquette County residents had the chance to dump their hazardous waste safely Thursday. Materials like certain paints, oils and batteries were accepted at the landfill.

If the authority gets the approval from the Marquette County Board of Commissioners, it would add a $10 surcharge to each household in the county for five years.
