Photographer Hiram Maristany has spent more than 50 years documenting the Puerto Rican community in New York City's East Harlem neighborhood — through poverty, beauty and gentrification.

Located in East Harlem, the museum has been around since 1969 and features an extensive, permanent collection of pieces from Latin America and the Caribbean.

The tour ended at East Harlem’s Graffiti Hall of Fame on 106th Street, just east of Madison Avenue at the Jackie Robinson Educational Center and around the corner from El Museo Del Barrio.
