Ubisoft today confirmed that AC Shadows has now broken 2 million players just 2 days after launch on all platforms. "🔥 2 MILLION PLAYERS! 🔥 We're thrilled to celebrate this incredible milestone!

Ubisoft confirmed the milestone in a post on Instagram, adding that Assassin's Creed Shadows had "surpassed the launches" of 2017's Assassin's Creed Origins and 2018's Assassin's Creed Odyssey.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows was released on March 20 after multiple delays. Many wondered whether the delays would cause people to shy away from the game.

On Sunday March 23, 64,825 people were playing AC Shadows all at the same time. That tops the previous record for the series on Steam, set by Assassin's Creed Odyssey, with 62,069.
