MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - The Myrtle Beach Pelicans will be under new leadership heading into the 2025 season. The team said Tuesday that the Chicago Cubs named Yovanny Cuevas as its new manager.

Yovanny Cuevas will manage the Pelicans in his first ever season as a Minor League Manager. “He’s taking a big role after Buddy Bell,” Moehle said.
