A manhunt continues for the repeat violent offender who shot and killed a deputy serving a warrant Wednesday afternoon, Houston police say.

Deputy Jesus Vargas, a member of the U.S. Marshal’s Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force was in a shooting in southwest Houston and the shooter has been killed, officials say.
