The Mystic Krewe of Barkus has postponed its Sunday parade through New Orleans' French Quarter, the New Orleans Police Department confirmed.

The Krewe of Barkus has joined the long list of parades that were set to roll Sunday but have rescheduled. The Krewe of Barkus is now scheduled to roll on Sunday, March 9 at 2 p.m. On their social media, the krewe posted that they "roll reign or shine, unless it isn't safe for the dogs".

The Krewe of Barkus and Meoux Pet Parade rolls this Sunday. Hundreds of people of all ages will show up with their furry friends to participate and enjoy the annual parade. Pets will be dressed from head to paw with creative costumes and carried in floats that roll along a parade route at the Louisiana State Fairgrounds.

It was a barking good time at Galatoire's Friday morning, Feb. 21, at the traditional lunch for the Krewe of Barkus.
