As tensions ratcheted up over the last week of fighting, Pakistan did not consider deploying nuclear warheads to strike India, the country’s foreign minister Ishaq Dar told CNN on Monday.

The high-stakes stand-off between India and Pakistan seems to be de-escalating after the United States brokered an immediate ceasefire between the two nuclear powers, but their bad blood has only continued to boil.

LONDON: British Foreign Secretary David Lammy has described the ceasefire between India and Pakistan as a highly welcome development, while cautioning that the situation remains fragile.
