The Chicago Bulls would like to keep Josh Giddey around long-term. Heading into the NBA offseason, that was one of their main priorities. While they want to get a new long-term deal done with him, the two sides have remained in a standoff.

Josh Giddey and the Chicago Bulls seem to be having a bit of a staring contest right now, and one NBA insider is hopeful that the Bulls will not blink first.

The Athletic recently polled 16 NBA front office personnel to gauge Giddey’s market value. They all agreed they wouldn’t pay him more than $25 million per year. “Fourteen of the 16 participants proposed an average annual salary between $20 million and $25 million,” they wrote.
