The family of a Frisco high school student arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing at a track meet offered condolences Monday to the other student’s loved ones and called for the public’s patience as they “seek the truth” through the courts.

The family of the 17-year-old suspect charged with murder in the stabbing death of a Frisco ISD student-athlete has broken their silence. Karmelo Anthony remained in police custody on a $1 million bond Monday in the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf at a track meet on April 2.

The suspect, Karmelo Anthony, is being represented by criminal defense attorneys Billy Clark and Kim T. Cole, who released their first statement about the case.
