A longtime Dauphin County Magisterial District Judge died this week while riding a bike in Lebanon County, Dauphin County District Attorney Fran Chardo said.

Emergency dispatch said a vehicle caught fire after colliding with another vehicle, injuring a total of four people.

Police said a car fled after striking a motorcycle on June 28. The coroner's office has identified the motorcyclist who was killed in the crash.

“In the attempt to take him into custody after he fired numerous shots, the one Steelton officer fired on him and struck him,” Dauphin County District Attorney Fran Chardo told abc27.

Smith collapsed and was not struck, according to Dauphin County District Attorney Fran Chardo. He later died at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.

Steelton Mayor Ciera Dent ordered all activities at Soul Lounge to "cease and desist" following the shooting. However, the business said it's not at fault.
