NEW YORK (AP) — Dallas rookie Cooper Flagg returned from a two-game absence for his first pro game at Madison Square Garden, while Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart rejoined the Knicks on Monday after a stretch that the team has struggled without them.
C ooper Flagg is back from a minor ankle issue and in his Garden debut, he picked up where he left off, finishing with 18 points, 7 rebounds 3 assists and 1 steal.
Brunson posted 22 points, and Karl-Anthony Towns added 22 points and 18 boards, but the main storyline was New York's sluggish defensive effort against a struggling Mavs team. The Knicks gave up 75 points in the first half alone, and it left them with too big a deficit to overcome.
