Brent Thomson will serve as “a strategic advisor” to Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Drysdale Properties throughout the two states, the brokerage announced on Feb. 16.

There was no immediate comment from Berkshire or Compass. Berkshire stock was up 1.5% Thursday to $756,910 and has risen 11% so far this year, outpacing the S&P 500 index, which is down 6%.
