The Airo trains will be manufactured by Siemens in California. “As we invest in the future, Amtrak is leading the way with a new era of rail,” Amtrak President Roger Harris said in a news release.

Citing high demand for rail travel, Amtrak announced it would add 10 Amtrak Airo trainsets to its order from Siemens in California. That will bring the total to 83 trainsets.

Currently, Amtrak has "more than" 30 train routes throughout the U.S., and some in Canada. Amtrak travels to over 500 destinations in 46 states. See video of the new Amtrak Airo train.
