As announced in a press release, Yuengling Lager and Flight by Yuengling, a new light beer, are now both available on draft in over 2,000 Illinois bars, including in the city of Chicago.

Four decades later, Yuengling produces 2.7 million barrels a year in Pottsville, Mill Creek and its Tampa brewery, according to Beer Marketer’s Insights, a trade publication.

As of January 2025, the company is extending its reach to Illinois by offering its product on tap. That's right, Yuengling is now in Chicago for the first time in its 200-year run.

In its 195th year, Yuengling was started by D. G. Yuengling as Eagle Brewery in 1829. It is currently headed by Richard “Dick” Yuengling Jr., the fifth generation scion of the brewing family.
