The Red Sox received Gage Ziehl, a mid-level pitching prospect, in their trade that sent Jordan Hicks and prospect David Sandlin to the White Sox on Sunday.

The Red Sox’ 2026 payroll went down Sunday when they found a taker for most of the rest of Jordan Hicks’s contract.

The White Sox have acquired right-handed pitcher Jordan Hicks, minor league right-hander David Sandlin, cash considerations and two players to be named later (PTBNL) from the Boston Red Sox.
