Trump's tariffs have led some companies to announce that they plan to raise prices. Even before his so-called " Liberation Day," companies warned they would pass costs on to shoppers.
Trump slapped tariffs as high as 50% on dozens of countries, including top U.S. trade partners such as Japan and South Korea. The fresh levies are set to take effect on Aug. 1.
"I think it's going to be $10 to $15 more on each pair," said Ryan Prickett, Managing Partner of Brown's Shoe Fit Co. Prickett says a majority of the shoe brands at his store are raising prices.
