Spanish golfer Jon Rahm is planning to participate in the Ryder Cup later this year despite his ongoing appeal of sanctions levied against him by the DP World Tour for competing in LIV Golf events in 2024.

Jon Rahm appealed DP World Tour sanctions for playing on LIV Golf in late 2024, and while he may not know when an independent panel will hear his case, he does know where he intends to be this fall. The Spaniard has every plan to play in the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black when the Europeans attempt to claim the cup on United States soil for the first time since 2012.

Because of his affiliation with LIV Golf, Jon Rahm faces a bevy of sanctions and fines from the DP World Tour, which facilitates the Ryder Cup from the European side. He does not know when arbitrators will settle those issues,
