FOXBOROUGH - A 10-year old Kyle Williams couldn’t stop watching a highlight video of a Maryland receiver who wore No. 1. As a kid, he worshipped Stefon Diggs, who played for the Terrapins from 2012-2014. As luck would have it, 13 years later, the rookie Patriots receiver is now a teammate of his childhood hero.

Stefon Diggs is the biggest-name addition to the New England Patriots this offseason. On Wednesday, he got to experience the Puppy Adoption Day event held at Pats training camp. And during Diggs' time with his little dog, he nearly had an escape on his hands.

Wide receiver Stefon Diggs was not part of the initial group of players that the Patriots put on the physically unable to perform list and he was not added to the list when the full squad reported to training camp on Tuesday.
