A SpaceX capsule carrying a fresh crew to the space station launched Friday, setting the stage for the Starliner astronauts to finally come home.

NASA and SpaceX on Wednesday delayed the launch of a replacement crew of four astronauts to the International Space Station that would have set in motion the long-awaited homecoming of U.S. astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams.

Four astronauts will soon launch to the space station — a flight that will kick off a series of events culminating in the long-awaited return of NASA astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore.
