As is the case with all manner of Richard Mille creations, the RM 43-01 is completely overengineered, utterly outrageous, and over-the-top fun. At $1.5M for Hamilton’s full-Carbon TPT version (and roughly $1.3M for the titanium and Carbon TPT version), it’s the perfect racing watch for the Ferrari driver.

Lewis Hamilton’s Belgian GP weekend got off to the worst possible start as the seven-time World Champion suffered a shock elimination in SQ1 for the Sprint event. It marked the first time since the introduction of the Sprint format that a Ferrari driver had failed to progress past the opening session — an unwanted record Hamilton certainly did not expect to own.
