July 29 (UPI) -- Cash App on Tuesday announced a new group payment system that will also allow users to use Apple Pay and Google Pay to contribute for the first time. The group payment system is only available to certain users currently, but it will roll out to more users in the upcoming months.

Cash App has debuted a new group payment feature that allows folks who don't even use the app to contribute to a kitty. Pools enables Cash App users to invite folks to chip in for a large purchase (such as a group vacation) via Apple Pay and Google Pay.

PayPal’s Venmo continues to gain ground, reporting more than 20% year-over-year revenue growth in the second quarter.
