During a Destiny 2 livestream today, developer Bungie announced that it’s adding new Star Wars -themed cosmetic skins and items to the popular free-to-play shooter next month.

Destiny 2 has changed considerably since it released in 2017. It became free to play in 2019, and has since released epic expansions like The Witch Queen, Lightfall, and last year's The Final Shape. And now, eight years after its release, a new collaboration could expand Destiny 's fan base even more.

Bungie announced the Star Wars crossover and lots more during a broadcast on January 28. Also as part of this, Bungie confirmed that the Dreadnaught is returning to Destiny in Destiny 2: Heresy, which is the final epilogue of the so-called Light and Darkness saga.

Heresy's livestream this week unveiled the future with their newest episode, for the third act Star Wars skins and Oryx's Throne World premiere.

Destiny 2 and Star Wars are having themselves a fun collaboration with the launch of Heresy, bringing skins from a galaxy far, far away to the title.
