Tensions are simmering at the Line of Control (LoC) between India and Pakistan after the terror attack in Pahalgam left 26 people dead. Indian army chief General Upendra Dwivedi is in Srinagar to take stock of the security situation.

Following the Cabinet Committee on Security's decision, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday called up the chief ministers of all the states and asked them to ensure that no Pakistani stays in India beyond the deadline set for leaving the country.

In response to the Pahalgam terror attack, India has revoked 14 categories of visas for Pakistani nationals. This action follows a Cabinet Committee on Security decision aiming to ensure no Pakistani overstays.
