NEW YORK — The Yankees weren’t just buying and buying on Thursday’s trade-deadline day. After trading for two relievers, general manager Brian Cashman dealt reserve infielder Oswald Peraza to the Los Angeles Angels a few minutes before the 6 p.m., ET deadline, Jack Curry of YES Network first reported.

With the roster getting more crowded, the Yankees sent former top prospect Oswald Peraza to the Angels at the 2025 MLB Trade Deadline.

Peraza, still just 25, had been one of the Yankees’ top prospects in recent years but has struggled mightily in the majors.
