The new, all-electric Volvo EX30 Cross Country is ready for adventures in the snow, mud, or whatever terrain you might throw at it.

Inside, the EX30 Cross Country looks identical to its asphalt-only counterpart. A vertically oriented 12.3-inch infotainment display also contains the driver information gauges and runs Volvo’s Google-based interface. You can also use Apple CarPlay, and instead of speakers in the doors, there is a single soundbar spanning across the dashboard.

Volvo has put walking boots and a storm jacket onto its EX30 electric SUV to continue a long, fine tradition of off-road Swedish motors that like to get muddy. This is the new EX30 Cross Country, which is a… city car able to have a splash in some puddles.

True to the classic recipe, Volvo has added flared wheel arch extensions and skid plates front and back, while also raising the ride height by 0.7 inches. The CC variants will also wear unique 18-inch wheels, with optional all-terrain tires.
