Thieves have stolen “priceless” jewelry from the Louvre in Paris, the world’s most-visited museum, in an audacious seven-minute raid on Sunday, the French interior minister has said.

It took just eight minutes. Thieves broke into the Louvre in broad daylight on Sunday and made off with jewelry said to be of “incalculable” worth, all while visitors and staff members were going about their business in one of the world’s most famous museums.

Footage filmed by tour guide Claudine Hemingway (@ClaudineBleuBlondeRouge) shows the stolen items on display, before the brazen theft, in the museum's Gallery of Apollo.
