One Caribbean country is investing heavily into new cruise port infrastructure to boost tourism in remote areas.

Work has begun at the site of the new cruise ship terminal in Seward. That’s what Mickey Richardson, who helms The Seward Company, told Seward’s City Council last week.

Cruise line Royal Caribbean International is moving one of its ships from the Port of Baltimore to a port in Florida, company officials said.
