The uncomfortable reality of Marchand and Boston being separate entities was inevitable after the team fell short a couple of years ago.

A major admission has come forth from former Bruins captain Brad Marchand, who was recently traded to the divisional foe Florida Panthers on Friday. Brad Marchand is now with the Florida Panthers, having been traded from the Bruins where he had spent his entire NHL career.

Marchand took out a full-page ad in the March 10 edition of the Boston Globe thanking fans after he was shipped to Florida at trade deadline.

While the former Bruins captain is still weeks away from returning to game action following an upper-body injury, Marchand is starting to ingratiate himself to his new teammates days after Boston dealt him to one of their most-loathed rivals.
