Authorities released a preliminary report on the Air India crash, following an investigation. The London-bound flight from Ahmedabad crashed minutes into the June 12 flight. Only one passenger of the 242 passengers and flight crew survived.

The aircraft, operating flight AI171 from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick, hence, crashed just after taking off from runway 23 at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, Ahmedabad, at 1.39 p.m. on June 12, 2025.
