I'm trying to enable TPM on my MB (ASROCK Z170 Extreme4) to make my computer Win11 compatible. I've encountered two problems: 1) The first few times I enabled it, everything seemed just fine.
While some of these features are possible on devices without a TPM, they’re more secure if you have one. Requiring the TPM on all Windows 11 devices lets Microsoft set a security floor.
Now, people who built custom rigs with Asus or Asrock motherboards can download BIOS updates that will enable TPM by default, if they haven't already switched it on manually.
Asrock's new notice does have some basic information in it for how you can find the TPM / PPT settings on your motherboard. Intel and AMD label things slightly differently.
