Albuquerque Fire Rescue (AFR)put out a car fire right next to the Eastside Animal Shelter Saturday. AFR says they were dispatched to the area a little after noon. Crews say they were not injured, and the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

The fire, called the Mile Marker 65 Fire because of its location about 8 miles south of Boise, started shortly before 1 p.m., according to WildCAD, a wildfire dispatch system. The fire grew to about 5,000 acres by 4 p.m.

Local and federal authorities are investigating a vehicle fire that erupted outside an Oceanside home early Sunday morning.

A bustling shopping plaza in north suburban Northbrook reopened on Thursday evening following a vehicle fire. The Northbrook Police Department, writing in a Facebook post at 1:48 p.m., said the Willow Festival Shopping Center would be closed for the "foreseeable future." GOODING, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Around 3:10, on Thursday, Idaho511 reported a vehicle fire and brush fire on northbound State Highway 46 between Gooding and Wendell. The call came into the Gooding Fire Department at 2:58, according to Fire Chief Steven Bishop. The vehicle fire started and it turned into a brush fire.
