For a moment, Jaguars coach Liam Coen hoped that Trevor Lawrence would throw the ball away, but he's happy that the quarterback took the risk to grab the win.
The Jacksonville Jaguars beat the Kansas City Chiefs 31-28 at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville on Monday. Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence ran in for a 1-yard touchdown with 23 seconds remaining to win the game.
Naturally, the Jaguars opted to let their 6'6" quarterback attempt a quarterback sneak. Lawrence jumped up and tried to extend the football into the end zone, but before it could get there, Chiefs' linebacker Nick Bolton punched it out, resulting in a fumble and Chiefs' ball.
