The SM8845, distinct from the SM8550 (Snapdragon 8 Gen 2), SM8735 (8s Gen 4), and SM8850 (8 Elite 2), is said to use TSMC’s N3P 3nm process with Oryon CPU cores.

The news comes from popular Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS). In a Weibo post, DCS claims that the unique designation number “SM8845” is linked to the Snapdragon 8s Gen 5.

The SM8850 is expected to be the Snapdragon 8 Elite, while the SM8845 is a custom-designed 3nm+ chip, developed by Qualcomm in collaboration with Redmi.
