Comments made by Russian Security Council Chairman Dmitry Medvedev on Thursday spurred President Donald Trump to reposition two U.S. nuclear submarines.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday said he had ordered two nuclear submarines to be positioned in "the appropriate regions" in response to remarks from former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev about the risk of war between the nuclear-armed adversaries.

After a weeklong back-and-forth between Donald Trump and Dmitry Medvedev, Trump said in a post on Truth Social that he repositioned two nuclear submarines.
